The Staybridge Suites Lafayette, a focused service 118 room hotel, is seeking applicants for the General Manager position.
General Manager candidate must possess extensive knowledge of hotel operations, a positive attitude, the ability to oversee all operations activities and departments in the hotel to maximize revenue, deliver a positive guest experience and create a team atmosphere that promotes learning and mentorship.
The candidate must be willing to put in at least 45 hours or more of time on property.
This includes weekends and holidays if the need arises
General Manager Responsibilities including but NOT LIMITED TO:
-Provide exceptional customer service to all hotel guests, making their stay as comfortable and accommodating as possible while achieving team and Brand goals.
-Conduct staff meetings to address any issues and concerns at the property
-Perform cash accounting function and monitor receipts for accuracy
-Walk the property daily and address any concerns with department heads
-Perform all payroll and accounting functions
-Keep up to date on brand requirements
-Prepare weekly/monthly reports
-Ensures that all policies, procedures, federal, state and local ordinances with regard to personnel, security, cash handling, guest relations and safety are followed.
-Address guest issues in a prompt and professional manner
-Exceed brand service and cleanliness standards and strive for an “Outstanding” quality assurance evaluation
-Develop annual budget and capital expenditure plans
-Achieve revenue and profit goals, balancing cost with guest satisfaction.
-Hire, coach and train team members to drive exceptional performance toward brand requirements, guest satisfaction and profitability goals maintaining compliance with company and legal requirements and strive for a culturally diverse work place.
-Selects, trains, and directs department supervisors and staff as necessary keeping them well versed in all policies and procedures.
-Accompany Sales Manager on sales calls and give input on revenue management decisions
-Remain highly visible and always available to guests and team
-Inspect guest rooms daily for cleanliness and to address any issues with the Director of Housekeeping
*Job Requirements*
-At least three years hotel management experience required, IHG experience preferred.
-Ability to work in a fast-pace, high energy and demanding work environment.
-The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
As General Manager we expect you to always be available to address emergencies.
- Must be available to work Monday-Friday 8am-5:00pm and at other times as business needs may require
-Must be available to work weekends when required
-Must be willing to cover front desk shifts when required
-Must always be available by phone for staff/corporate when off property
-Must have reliable transportation to/from work
-Ability to maintain a professional work environment
-Must possess a positive and upbeat personality and maintain a courteous attitude with co-workers and guests
-Must demonstrate a professional appearance in clothing and hygiene
*Compensation and Benefits*
Salary: $60,000.
00 - $70,000.

Bonus Potential: Up to 20% of base salary for exceptional performance
