Production Supervisor

News15, the FOX and NBC affiliate in Lafayette, La, has an immediate opening for a full-time Production Supervisor.
The Production Supervisor will direct live or pre-recorded productions as assigned, monitor on-air streams and supervise the production control room staff, directing miscellaneous news and other station productions.
The Production Supervisor will communicate and work closely with other news managers and report to the Executive Director of News and Public Affairs.
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES: · Responsible for managing the production control room and studio staff.
· Interview, hire, train, schedule and supervise work of studio/production personnel and fill in when a team member is out as needed.
· Oversee production/studio equipment maintenance and work with engineers on troubleshooting any equipment issues.
· Supervise video/program ingesting/segmenting, and directing live newscasts and events.
· Work closely with news, engineering and creative services departments to meet daily demands and perform related and/or other duties as assigned.
SKILLS REQUIRED/QUALIFICATIONS: · At least 1-3 years of supervisor experience is preferred.
· Production assistant and directing experience required.
· Knowledge of TV production techniques and demonstrated creative ability.
· Experience with production automation systems recommended.
· Must have great communication & people skills.
· Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills · Ability to multitask under time sensitive deadlines.
· Strong technical & computer skills highly recommended.
· Flexibility with scheduling & job assignments.
· Understanding of FCC broadcast regulations.
· Willingness to learn new hardware and software.
