Position summary: The District Managers primary responsibility is to ensure each store within assigned district is operating to the goals and expectations set.
Driving key performance and growth through recruiting, hiring, training, motivating and developing great people.
The District Manager is required to interpret, implement, communicate and ensure all employees are adhering to operational and compliance procedures while managing transaction growth, cash management, collections and risk management throughout the district.
The District Manager has full profit and loss responsibility as well as reporting and auditing for the district.
Tasks: Verify cash management and loss prevention measures are monitored by the Store Manager including their documentation of cash over/shorts, vault, inventory, deposits and expenses; Verify accounting corrections are addressed in a timely manner.
Visit stores in district in accordance with store visit program; Ensure compliance with state and federal laws as well as company policies and procedures.
Create a culture of compliance; Verify Store Managers are auditing loan agreements, adverse actions and transactions to ensure staff compliance with standard procedures and practices; Ensure adherence to quality standards, compliance and procedures.
Participate in examinations, audits and compliance related reviews as directed by the corporate office or Regional Manager.
Assist in preparation of district budget and continually review for adherence.
Hold Store Managers and their employees accountable for performance, compliance, and security standards; Report security concerns to Regional Manager.
Assess risk within established limits to accept or reject a financial transaction; Escalate decision making when amount or situation exceeds set limits.
Train Store Managers to handle difficult or complex problems and to resolve escalated customer complaints or disputes; Research, respond and resolve issues reported by the Customer Service Department as required.
Make recommendations and escalate issues to management concerning point of sale improvements, procedural changes, etc.
Train and instruct employees regarding job duties, company policies and procedures; Provide employees with ongoing training and feedback; Communicate changes to staff and provide training to ensure adherence.
Recruit, interview, and approve the hiring of qualified individuals.
Discuss job performance and areas for improvement with employee to resolve any issues; Complete evaluations and submit suggestions for wage increases in a timely manner.
Verify stores are completing the cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep store clean and free of any hazards.
Conduct monthly meetings with Store Managers to review performance results, focus areas, establish priorities and identify deficiencies.
Analyze district performance to assess growth potential, opportunities and set objectives that support company initiatives and goals.
Maintain succession planning to ensure proper staffing and readiness Review Store Manager schedules weekly to ensure staffing is optimal.

Experience And Education: Bachelor's Degree; Over 6 years Management Experience leading and managing multiple locations in the retail, convenience store, grocery, financial or service industry; "Hands on" cash management experience with vault or safe responsibilities; success in building and developing a winning team.
