At Gulf Coast Bank, we are looking for an experienced Vice President of Credit Administration to join our team.
The Vice President of Credit Administration will be responsible for all aspects of our bank’s credit operations, including managers and team members' overall performance and development.
In addition, you will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve operational and credit-related process efficiencies.
The ideal candidate for this position will have extensive experience in credit operations and a proven track record of delivering results.
We’re looking for a leader who enjoys coaching and leading managers and staff, working with an executive team, and can think strategically.

What you will do:
Team Management
Manage credit operations workflow by effectively delegating assignments, providing direction and ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Lead, coach, and develop direct and indirect reports, creating a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Provide performance feedback, coaching, and counseling to staff and managers as needed to improve performance and ensure all team members understand lending rules and regulations.
Provide guidance, input, and support on credit operations and loan servicing tasks.
Assist in solving complex and unique scenarios throughout the credit lifecycle.
Ensure the team clearly understands the bank’s goals and direction.
Develop relationships with external service providers, internal and external stakeholders.
Process, Procedure & Workflow Management
Collaborate with the Senior Vice President of Bank Operations to develop a strategic vision and plan for the credit operations team ensuring processes and controls are in place to meet the Bank’s business objectives.
Utilize a combination of observation, production result monitoring, analyzing data, and gathering critical stakeholder feedback to identify potential process and department efficiency improvement opportunities.
Recommend procedure modifications based on findings and ensure effectiveness for recommended alternative processes to reduce turnaround times and improve efficiencies and overall customer experience.
Proactively address potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate risk.
Strategic Planning & Initiatives
Lead implementation of the bank’s initiatives for the credit operations team, which may include workflow modification and require change management skills.
Provide regular updates to the Executive Team on production capabilities, staffing levels, and overall department performance.
Participates in the internal and external audit review process, evaluates audit findings, and provides responses and recommendations as needed.
You have:
A bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
A minimum of 7 years experience in lending, underwriting, and managing credit operations and people.
A strong understanding of credit risk management, credit lifecycle, loan structuring, analysis, and processing.
Advanced financial analysis skills and expertise in commercial loan structuring and creative loan solutions
Proven ability to communicate effectively, lead change, build relationships, and influence stakeholders (internal and external)
Skill in analyzing current business processes from different dimensions and identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement.
Knowledge of the SBA is a plus.
