Position Location: Safari Train Depot.
The Lead Train Driver is responsible for activities, safety, and maintenance of the Zoosiana Safari Express.
This person ensures that the train functioning, guidelines, and running standards are followed and maintained.
Responsibilities also include operating the depot, including ticket and concession sales, inventory control, and others.
Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Schedule, train, and coordinate train staff
Conduct daily safety inspections
Conduct preventative and routine maintenance to ensure a safe and reliable train operation
Operate scheduled train rides during zoo hours
Ensure proper train operations and safety of passengers and pedestrians
Sell tickets and concession items to guests
Ensure the safety of passengers
Other duties as assigned
Requirements including possessing a valid, current drivers license, with a good driving record.
Some mechanical knowledge and experience is a plus.
Weekly work hours may vary based on seasonality and weather, so the ability to accommodate a flexible schedule is a must.
