Oil States Energy Services is currently hiring for an Operations Manager at our Broussard, LA location.
The Operations Manager will assist with managing district operations to include, scheduling jobs, oilfield service and rental equipment, personnel and financial reports while complying with company policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain an organization to meet or exceed District objectives.
Proactively participate in the safety process to promote safe working conditions and ensure adherence to regulatory, government, and company compliance.
Coordinate pricing and bids of rental jobs through upper management and sales.
Monitor job quality to ensure efficient delivery of equipment, services, job safety, and monitor adherence to standard operating procedures.
Monitor performance of all subordinates through close personal contact to ensure achievement of established performance standards and identify personnel with promotion potential.
Inform District manager of all aspects of district activity.
Organize and promote effective communication between the Operations Supervisor (dispatchers) and the sales team as well as all employees.
Manage training schedules for all new employees and existing employees.
Maintain rentals and report data to District Manager.
Complete and deliver financial report, morning report, service orders and charts as requested.
Ensure proper testing and rebuilding of rental equipment is assigned.
Manage call flow received from clients and ensure satisfaction is delivered.
Deliver excellent customer service to all employees and clients daily.
Ensure all repairs and parts are completed on all vehicles daily.
Responsible for managing Purchase Order numbers and location bills.
Actively monitor DOT pre trips and post trips to ensure adherence to regulatory, government, and company compliance.
Conduct field evaluations on quality and accuracy of work performed.
Manage employees daily work flow.
Responsible for all paper work being turned in prior to all deadlines.
Responsible for other projects as requested by manager but not limited to job description.
Responsible to call on customers as needed to ensure quality customer service.
Responsible for ensuring that non-eligible drivers are not allowed to drive a Company vehicle.
Responsible for reviewing mileage/hours of operation of Company vehicles, to ensure proper use, and compliance with the OSES Vehicle Policy.
Responsible for ensuring that vehicles are not assigned without prior approval.
Performs Operator duties in the field if needed.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
Must have basic math and algebra skills.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram forms.
Ability to deal with problems associated with daily operations and business situations.
Ability to operate hand tools required.
Ability to operate a crane truck and trailer preferred.
Knowledge of all oilfield service and rental equipment utilized by OSES.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose increasingly complex business or technical problems and recommend solutions.
Demonstrated ability in successfully leading and supervising people and projects.
Ability to maintain composure when faced with conflict and ability to quickly and effectively adjust as team role changes.
Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; advanced degree preferred.
Two (2) to five (5) years’ experience in field operations on relevant product lines offered by OSES preferred.
Must have knowledge of common best practices for the oil and gas industry.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Must maintain a safe driving record as prescribed by company policy.
Must successfully pass pre- and post-employment drug and alcohol tests per company policy.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSES Valid Driver’s License.
