This vacancy is located in the Lafayette Parish Child Welfare Office.
This vacancy may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months.
Job appointments may convert to probational appointments.
Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months.

gov Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Three years of experience in which clerical work was a major duty.
SUBSTITUTIONS: Training in a business or clerical-related curriculum in a business school or technical institute will substitute for the required experience on the basis of six months of training for six months of experience for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
Completion of a business or clerical-related curriculum in a business school or technical institute will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
College training will substitute for the required experience on the basis of 15 semester hours for six months of experience.
NOTE: Business or technical school training with less than completion will only be credited in six month increments.
Similarly, college training will only be credited in 15 semester hour increments.
NOTE: Any college hours or degree must be from an accredited college or university.
Job Concepts Function of Work: To supervise personnel engaged in clerical activities in support of an organizational unit or program.
Level of Work: Supervisor.
Supervision Received: General from higher-level administrative and/or supervisory personnel.
Supervision Exercised: Direct supervision over 3 or more Administrative Coordinators, Administrative Assistants, or equivalent.
Location of Work: May be used by all state agencies.
Job Distinctions: Differs from the Administrative Coordinator and Administrative Assistant job series by the presence of direct-line supervision over 3 or more subordinates.
Differs from Administrative Supervisor 1 by agency impact, hierarchy, and reporting relationship patterns.
Differs from Administrative Manager 1 by the absence of professional-level administrative duties.
Examples of Work Plans, assigns, and reviews the work of employees engaged in processing fiscal, personnel, educational, medical, or other departmental work.
