Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of campus tours and the Welcome Center.
Reporting directly to the Associate Director for Recruitment, the incumbent will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of tour activities and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for prospective students and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
-Supervise and manage all aspects of campus tours, including tour presentations, supply inventory, office fleet vehicle management, and the general upkeep of the Welcome Center.
-Ensure the Welcome Center is organized and presentable to create a positive first impression for visitors.
-Recruit, supervise, and train a team of campus tour guides to ensure a high level of professionalism and knowledge during tours.
-Coordinate and conduct regular training sessions for the campus tour team to enhance their skills and knowledge about the university.
-Coordinate major meetings, group tours, and private tours to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for visitors.
-Collaborate with recruitment and credentials staff to provide necessary support for tour operations, including coordinating with academic departments for specialized tours.
-Prepare accurate and timely reports on tour activities, visitor feedback, and other relevant metrics as needed by the Associate Director.
-Handle correspondence related to campus tours, responding promptly to inquiries and requests for information.
-Assist the Associate Director in organizing and executing recruitment events, providing logistical support for tours and other related activities.
-Take on assigned special projects as needed by the Associate Director, contributing to the overall success of the recruitment team and the university's outreach efforts.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree
-One year of responsible experience in customer service and supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Master's degree
-Strong communication ability, the ability to adapt easily, proficiency in modern computer skills, strong organizational abilities, student information systems experience, and a willingness to work non-traditional hours.
