Facility Supervisor
Job Description
Department: Operations
Reports To: Operations Manager
Status: Part Time
Work Hours:Monday-Friday with flexibility for event purposes
FLSA: Non Exempt
Job Summary: The responsibility of the Facility Supervisor is to make sure that the facility/facilities are thoroughly cleaned each night.
This will include that all Housekeeping & Floor schedules are followed.
It is the Supervisor’s responsibility to make sure each complaint is answered and is properly followed through.
The same cleaning complaint should not happen twice.
The facility supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the cleaning protocols and personnel of the facility that you are assigned to.
You must be a leader and possess the ability to make decisions.
Decision making is the primary key to successfully manage the facility.
Scheduling is a number one priority for the facility supervisor; all vacation requests must be approved or rejected by the facility supervisor.
The facility supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the cleaning schedule of the facility is followed at all times.
The facility supervisor must be able to motivate, lead, train, and discipline employees.
Responsibilities and Duties Ensure employees are clocking in and out at all times.
Make sure you sign off on all time adjustments.
Ensure new employees have been thoroughly training.
Track attendance infractions i.
e.
tardiness, leave early, absence.
Complete proper documentation and submit it in Bamboo.
Track all vacation request and/or absence request.
Ensure the allotted time frames are being met for these requests.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your facility will have sufficient coverage prior to approving requests.
In the event that your work staff is short, you must use the labor that you do have to complete the cleaning schedule if a replacement is not available.
Emergency only -Must have availability to work day and/or night shifts to ensure coverage of your facility.
Ensure employees are following all of the safety rules and regulations.
Enforce company policies and ensure that all employees are adhering to them at all time.
Ensure all of the rules and regulations of the facility you are operating in are being followed.
(Rules that pertain to PCMS, but not limited to PCMS).
Ensure employees are productive at all times.
When employees are working in the facility, you must walk the facility to make sure each employee is doing his or her job.
Monitor all employees during the work shift.
In the event that your work staff is short, you must use the labor that you do have to complete the cleaning schedule if a replacement is not available.
Must have availability to work day and/or night shifts to ensure coverage of your facility.
Maintain the equipment and ensure that all cleaning and maintenance schedules are followed.
Make sure all damages to the equipment are reported.
Make sure all property damages are reported.
Hold weekly safety meetings based on the schedule produced by the PCMS Office.
Make sure there is written material to cover with an approved topic.
Make sure all employees sign the training roster.
Make sure all signed rosters are submitted through bamboo.
Hold weekly team meetings based on the schedule provided by the PCMS Office to cover topics of the week.
Notify quality control if you do not have a team meeting agenda each week.
If you do not have a team meeting agenda, you can create an Agenda and have your meeting.
This meeting should be a positive meeting to start the week.
Inspect each work area every night, making an accurate assessment of each area.
Document all deficiencies and what actions were taken to correct them.
Make sure your reports are accurate and precise.
You should be submitting all your reports electronically.
Make sure the cleaning schedule is followed in each facility that you are responsible for.
Report any event that is out of the ordinary.
Report any changes that are seen at your facility/facilities.
Make sure each employee is in proper uniform for work shift.
Make sure all extra floor work is completed.
Report any incidents or accidents immediately to the Corporate Office.
Must submit the employee incident report along with other required documentation.
Make sure the labor and supply budget is followed.
Your goal is to meet and exceed the budgets.
Order supplies and maintain inventory shrinkage.
Maintain extra work detail, i.
e.
fire extinguisher, etc.
Ensure your inspection report match with-in 1 point of the regional inspection completed by our quality control team.
Each area is to be thoroughly inspected each work shift, by doing this there should not be any complaints that could have been avoided by the inspection.
You must treat each employee the same, and evaluate each area thoroughly.
Ensure all complaints and/or issues reported by any PCMS Customer is called in to the Corporate Office, documented, and is addressed immediately.
All documentation must be faxed to the Corporate Office.
Each facility supervisor is also a working supervisor and must be able to assist in all cleaning phases of facility/facilities.
Enforce the disciplinary process as necessary.
Effectively communicate with the Corporate Office.
Must be able to report to all meetings held at the Corporate Office.
Make sure all maintenance issues are reported.
Must have the ability to inspect and clean all Sterile areas at BRACC.
PCMS may add or take away from this job description as needed.
Mandatory Requirements: Must have transportation Ability to travel within reason: Excellent communication skills General computer knowledge or a willingness to learn Ability to stand for a length of time Ability to bend, squat, push, pull and lift Housekeeping experience Supervisory experience Learn and know all PCMS cleaning techniques, products, and principles.
Must have flexible availability.
Must be able to work some nights at his or her assigned facilities that are delegated by the Corporate Office.
