Summary The Private Banking Officer provides full-service banking to high-net-worth clients by the extension of credit and the marketing of the company’s services.
This position is responsible for identifying and cultivating new business relationships that result in new deposit accounts, loans, and cash management.
Specific Job Functions Provide full-service banking to high-net-worth clients by the extension of credit and the marketing of company services.
Meets clients credit needs by seeking secured and unsecured loans for a variety of purposes and provide deposit-related services as needed.
Generate a quality, profitable portfolio of loans, deposits and fee income products, while protecting the Bank’s assets.
Provides financial and banking advice to clients.
Cross-sell services such as credit cards, non-profit, and Cash Management services.
Actively call on potential or existing clients to develop new business by promoting company services and products.
Participate in the identification and assessment of credit risk relative to loan requests and the mitigation of those risks to an acceptable level.
Maintain a past due and credit/collateral exception level as indicated by policy.
Exercise leadership skills within the organization.
Accept ultimate responsibility for the granting of credit within authority levels.
Presentation of loan requests to appropriate levels of authority.
Work with loan assistants, credit analysts, loan operations and deposit services as a team to leverage production.
Make all problem and/or probable problem credits highly visible to Bank management.
Participate actively in community affairs to provide representation for the Bank.
Continue in education/training as required.
Minimum Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field is required.
Four years of experience can be used in lieu of education.
Four (4) years of experience and ability to analyze financial/credit information is required.
Working knowledge of lending regulations is required.
Must have strong client service and relationship management skills.
Experience and ability to underwrite and originate consumer and commercial loans, including making credit decisions.
Must have excellent verbal and written, communication, organizational and customer service skills.
