*JOB TITLE*: Accounting Manager / Controller *JOB DETAILS*: Position: Full Time *Compensation: Depends on experience $45-$66K/year* Benefits: Health, Dental, Life, Vision and other benefits offered, Paid Time Off, Retirement matching *JOB SUMMARY*: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team in the City of Youngsville.
The successful Accounting Manager / Controller candidate will be responsible for assigned financial aspects of the City of Youngsville.
*Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:* * Supervision of automated accounting systems * Managing city-wide accounts payable * Supervising accounts receivable for the Utility and Sports Complex Departments * Assisting the payroll department including tax and deduction payments and all reporting * Assisting the Accounts Payable department * Managing all Cash and Investments * Managing Debts of the City including monthly Bond Issue Sinking fund deposits and semi-annual debt service payments * Oversee purchasing for the City * Assist CFO with formulating the annual budget of the City * Coordinating the annual audit of the City which is required by the Louisiana Legislative Auditors, lending institutions, etc.
* Assist CFO with monthly reporting and entries.
* Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal financial regulations * Working closely with other city departments and external stakeholders needing financial information *Qualifications:* * Must have minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant accounting experience ideally in a governmental setting * HR/Payroll experience ideal * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure We encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity and are anxious to meet with interested candidates.
