POSITION OVERVIEW: This Financial Analyst is responsible for working closely with the Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis as well as the Business Development team in preparation of business and functional management analysis and reporting, cost models, standardized planning, and performance reporting.
This position assists with concise commercial bidding models and provides commercial strategies through financial analysis tied back to financial costs.
This role requires a thorough understanding of accounting and financial principles with understanding of the overall company objectives.
An ability to collaborate and lead through others, a focus on continuous improvement, and a strong desire to analyze, investigate, and resolve issues.
The position will contribute to special projects aimed at developing sophistication within Finance and Business Development that will add value to the organization.
Critical thinking mindset with a proactive initiative to manage exposure and maximized success opportunities for the business.
This position reports directly to the Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis for overall accounting and financial principles with daily direction from the Vice President, Business Development & Emerging Markets - Americas and team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES: More specifically, your key job tasks and core responsibilities will be to: • Coordinate development of a concise commercial bidding model and provide commercial strategies through financial analysis that tie back to our GL structure and accounting units.
• Interact with the business leaders to ensure the accuracy/integrity of effective bidding models, reports and account reconciliation.
• Coordinates with Legal, Risk, Finance, Safety, Maintenance, Materials, HR & Operations to collect needed information for modeling and/or analysis.
• Develops, implements and executes the proposals management process through its entire lifecycle • Aid with tender management and customer price adjustments through its entire lifecycle.
• Assist with the budgeting and forecasting processes for the business unit.
• Assist with the monthly financial reporting and analysis for the business unit.
• Participate in the formulation of the Company's near term and long-range goals and objectives,and the plans and programs directed toward their achievement.
•Kowledge of, and adherence to, GAAP and company FCPA policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned and such other actions as may be required to perform the essential functions of the job.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: • B.
S.
Degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum three (3) years' experience.
• CPA or MBA preferred.
• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
• Strong business and financial acumen with excellent interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, effectively internally and externally.
• Experience with commercial contract management and/or commercial bidding desired • Attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to prioritize, organize, and effectively manage time to work independently and meet deadlines • Capable to work under pressure while managing conflicting priorities and tight timelines • Computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.
